Fighting Games

Fighting games are the one-on-one and one-against-many kind: boxing matches with a stamina bar, side-scrolling beat 'em ups, stickman street brawls, ragdoll duels and the arena battles the feed files next to them. The tag is broad, so a few war and shooting games keep company with the punches. Controls are usually two or three buttons — hit, block, move — and the rounds are short, which suits a quick break better than a long campaign. Nothing installs, nothing is bought, and a lost round costs you nothing but the rematch.
