- Boxing Superstars KO Champion sends you against 4 professionals with jab, cross, uppercut and a dodge on on-screen buttons. It tests how well you anticipate strikes.
- Punch Champions has 8 boxers between you and the world belt, and warns that if you do not dodge, you will be knocked out.
- Boxing Star takes you from underground boxing to the championship. You win by knockout, using attacks, blocking and movement, and train your abilities to enter better tournaments.
Energy: why nonstop punching loses
The Drunken Boxing games put the cost of punching on screen. Each boxer has an Energy Bar; run it empty and it takes a while to recover, and you are open to punches until it does. Drunken Boxing's own advice is to plan your energy when you choose how to fight.

Boxing for two players on one keyboard
Many boxing games put both players on one keyboard. Agree who takes which side before the first round.

- Drunken Boxing 2 has 1 Player and 2 Player modes, and the first to score 5 wins the match.
- Boxing Gang Stars fills the ring with funny characters and physics, in 1 player or 2 player mode.
- BloxingFederation is boxing made of blocks, with a single-player mode, a 2 player mode and a Bot vs Bot mode to watch.
- Wobbly Boxing 3D builds its boxers out of spheres and plays against the computer or a friend. Walk with WASD or the arrow keys, punch left with F or a left click and right with G or a right click; both mouse buttons together, or T, break the other boxer's guard.

Boxing careers and punching games
Some boxing games are about the climb, and some are about the punch itself.
- Boxing Hero 2077 starts you as a rookie in a future boxing world. Train, upgrade punches and abilities, and finish quests; it gives its playtime as 60 to 80 minutes.

Habits that win more bouts
- Find the guard key before the bell. It is up in Mini Boxing, C in King Boxing 2024 and H in BloxingFederation.
- Lead with the jab. It is the fastest punch, so use it to test the other boxer's guard before you commit to a straight or an uppercut.
- Punish after you defend. Guard or dodge the attack, then hit back while the other boxer recovers.
- Keep the heavy punch for an opening. The uppercut is the slow, heavy option in Mini Boxing; a special hit in Drunken Boxing: Ultimate needs the right distance.
- Watch your energy bar. An empty bar in the Drunken Boxing games leaves you open.
