How the Papa Louie platformers play
In When Pizzas Attack the Infamous Onion Ring turns the pizzas at a party into Pizza Monsters. The monsters kidnap all of Papa Louie's customers and teleport them to far-off lands. Armed with his pizza paddle and a stock of Pepper Bombs, Papa Louie has to rescue every customer and stop the Onion Ring. He runs and jumps through food-themed locations to do it, and you play with the keyboard.
Papa Louie 2: When Burgers Attack (2013) and Papa Louie 3: When Sundaes Attack (2015) carry the platformer series on. In the third game, Captain Cori has to rescue Papa Louie and the other customers from Radley Madish, Luau LePunch and an endless army of Sundaesauruses. In the first and the third, then, the aim is a rescue: you get through the level, deal with the enemies in your way and free the people who are being held.

Platformers where you rescue someone
In Papa Louie the goal of a level is to free people who were kidnapped. These games have the same goal.
- Squicky is about a cute mouse who needs to rescue his friends. You find all the keys to go to the next level, collect coins and defeat enemies to raise your score. Use the arrow keys to move and Space to jump.
- Snow Adventure starts with a boy whose friend was taken prisoner by monsters. To release the friend you collect 3 crystals in each level, while monsters and traps wait along the way. On a computer you jump with Space and use X for a boost and a shield, and on Android you use on-screen buttons.

- Gorbo the Orc: Crown Quest is a funny platform adventure about getting a stolen crown back, one monster at a time. You swing a cleaver, chain a 3-hit combo, knock arrows out of the air and throw your axe like a boomerang. It has 48 levels in 6 worlds, 6 boss fights and a merchant who takes your coins, and potions heal you when your hearts run low. - Pond Story asks you to save your friend. You collect gold from the enemies you destroy and from the environment, and you spend it on new equipment. Move with W, A, S, D or the arrow keys, press Space to attack and press R to change weapon.
- Aidan in Danger stars a young red-haired elf with a slingshot who protects the last dragon on Earth from an interdimensional villain. You fight monsters through challenging levels. A and D or the arrow keys move you, W jumps, X or J shoots, C or K rolls and Space dashes.
