Jumping Games Online: Tower, One-Tap and Platform Jumpers

Updated

Jumping games online are built on one move, the jump. They come as tower jumpers where you keep climbing, one-tap jumpers where you time a single press, platform jumping across gaps and traps, and games where the jumper is a ball, a frog or a skier. In all of them the key is timing: when you press, and sometimes for how long.

Tower jumpers: keep climbing

The goal is height, and the platforms do not wait.

  • Paws Up has a cat jump higher on moving platforms. Platforms slide in from different sides, and a clean landing earns bonuses. Press Space, click or tap to jump.
  • Chubby Duck Jump is a one-button charge-and-jump game. Hold to fill the jump meter, release to leap to the next floating plank, and judge the gap: charge too little and the duck splashes into the meadow, hold too long and it overshoots.
  • Hook Jump Up gives you a bouncing emoji ball with a grappling hook. Swing your way up endless towering obstacles, avoid the drops and climb snowy mountain peaks. Click or tap to play.
  • Jumper Rabbit has you jump through platforms and collect carrots. Press the mouse to adjust the power, release to jump, and avoid the birds and blades.
  • Stack Jump Master asks you to jump to stack blocks and build the biggest tower you can. It has an endless mode, 36 challenges and 20 characters.

One-tap jumpers: time a single press

  • Jump Hero puts a ninja on platforms in a futuristic dojo. Jump as far as you can without falling, and the game gets faster as you progress. Tap on a phone or click on a computer.
  • jumpNinja has you switch between the upper and lower platforms while obstacles come in. Each jump adds to your score, and staying still too long or hitting an obstacle ends the run. Use Space, a left click or a tap.
  • Hop Masters asks you to tap left or right to reach the next platform before it moves, breaks or disappears. Chests and pinatas hold costumes for your character.
  • Double Boy Jump guides two rope-linked heroes across tricky platforms. Press and hold to jump, release at the right moment to land safely and switch between the partners, and keep both out of danger.
  • JumpRotor sets a cat on circular mechanical parts. You jump over them, each success raises your score and a failure ends the run.

More single-input games are in one button games.

Platform jumping: gaps, spikes and traps

Here you move as well as jump, so you plan a route as well as a leap.

  • Blocky Leap has a square-headed hero cross wide gaps between green-topped pylons in a jungle. Click and release to launch the hero, and time it well.
  • Tomato Bounce launches a tomato from platform to platform with one tap: hold to charge the power, aim and release. The fewer jumps you use, the more stars you earn, across 50 levels in 5 fruit worlds with moving platforms and portals.
  • Level Once Again is a story-driven puzzle platformer with 100 rooms in 4 worlds and 7 bosses. Floors drop, spikes pop up and doors run away. Arrows or A and D move, Space, W or the Up arrow jumps, and R restarts.
  • Frog Leap 3D is a 3D parkour game for a frog on floating islands, with 15 levels in 3 worlds. WASD or the arrow keys move and Space jumps, while a phone gets a virtual joystick and a jump button.
  • Going Up Rooftop is 3D parkour across city rooftops. Climb walls, leap between ledges, crawl, slide and ride ziplines, always upward. Space jumps and grabs the next ledge, and Shift sprints.

More of these are in platformer games online and the platformer games collection.

Balls, frogs, skiers and horses

Some games are about a thing that jumps rather than a hero.

  • Ball Jumping starts you at the bottom of the level with the task of going up. When the ball pushes off a wall it changes direction, and you use that to finish the level.
  • Bouncy Ball Jump has you jump a ball upward and survive as long as you can. Avoid sharp spikes and obstacles, because the speed rises. Left click or tap to jump.
  • Froggy Hop launches a frog across lily pads to collect coins. Use one-tap controls, avoid obstacles and dive onto lily pads and turtles at the right time to bounce.
  • Ski Jump 2022 is a ski jump: tap to go down the ramp and jump, then tap or click to balance the skier in the air.
  • Horse Jumping Show 3D asks you to ride a horse around a track and cross the obstacles by jumping. WASD controls the horse, Space jumps, the 1 to 3 keys change speed and F saddles the horse.

More horses are in horse games online.

Tips for jumping games

  1. Watch the platform, not the character. In Hop Masters the platforms move, break and disappear, and in Paws Up they slide in from the sides.
  2. In charge-and-release games, the hold sets the jump. Chubby Duck Jump says the longer the hold, the longer the jump, so read the gap before you let go.
  3. Keep moving. In jumpNinja, staying still too long ends the run.
  4. In Level Once Again, expect a trap in every room after the first three, and press R to restart the room.
