Games Like Color Switch: Color-Matching Arcade Games Online
Updated
Games like Color Switch are one-control arcade games where your color decides what you may touch: you pass through the part of an obstacle that matches you, and any other color ends the run. The games below are original titles by independent studios. Some keep the ring-and-ball idea, and others turn it into walls, gates and falling balls.
How Color Switch plays
In Color Switch you steer a ball up a course of obstacles, and the ball has a color. You tap to make it hop, and gravity pulls it down between taps. The obstacles are rings and shapes that turn, built from segments in several colors, and you may pass only through a segment that matches your ball. Touch any other color and the run is over.
Pickups along the way change your ball's color, so you cannot rely on one color for long. The store listing for the game says the obstacles get harder as you progress, and a failed run just means you try again.

Games where your color lets you through
These are the nearest matches: the color of your ball, shape or ship decides which part of an obstacle you can touch.
Neon Switch has a glowing shape jump through neon rings. You match your color to the ring's segment to pass through, or the run ends. Color stars switch your hue, and Ghost Orbs turn on a God Mode that lets you pass freely. There are new shapes to earn and achievements to chase, and you play with a mouse click or a tap.
Color Dodge shows a glowing circle from above while colorful walls charge at you from every side. You may collide only with the wall segment that matches your color, or you explode. On a computer you move with WASD or the arrow keys, and on a phone you touch and drag anywhere, like a joystick.
Color Dash Match the Color is an endless runner in which you pilot a rocket and match its color to smash through colored gates. You dodge the wrong colors, react to quick color changes and grab shield and nitro power-ups. The arrow keys or A and D steer on a computer, and a swipe left or right steers on a touch screen.
Crazy Color Balls and Crazy Color Balls 2 have you control a color ball through obstacles of all shapes and sizes and avoid hitting anything that is not the same color as the ball. The speed starts slow and picks up fast. The sequel says its levels range from easier to much tougher.
Tap to switch or match colors
These drop the obstacle course but keep the core of it: one input, a color to match and a run that ends on a wrong match.
Switch Dash has you tap the screen to switch the color of the platform, black for black and white for white. The black and white balls fall extremely fast, so you keep switching.
Color Circle gives you a multicolored rotating circle while a clock hand spins, and you click at the right moment, when the hand points to the matching color. A slight delay or a wrong color and you start over, and the speed rises.
Color Spin Puzzle has you spin the wheel left or right to match the color at the bottom of the circle to the color of the ball, so the ball bounces on the same color. It is endless, has a leaderboard and plays with one or two fingers.
Three Points asks you to tap or click to rotate a glowing triangle by 120 degrees, so that the color facing up matches the falling ball before the ball hits the ring. One mistake ends the game. Bonus orbs give a time extension, a shield or a score multiplier.
Chromaspin puts a four-colored ring in the middle of the screen. You drag and rotate it so the right section meets each colored ball coming in from the sides. A wrong match costs a life, and after 3 lives the game is over. Combos multiply your score, and there are Easy, Medium and Hard levels.
Perfect Match has you rotate a platform to match falling shapes to their colored zones: the red cube goes to the red zone, the green ball to the green one. It has 20 levels from Easy to Legend. A and D or the arrow keys rotate the platform, P pauses, and on mobile you tap the left or right side.
Prism Pulse launches your ball toward a target ring that cycles through colors, and you release at the moment the ball's color matches the ring's active color. Later levels move the target horizontally and vertically.

More games played with a single input are in one button games, and the hypercasual games category has many more quick arcade games, as the hypercasual games guide explains.
Tips for color-matching games
- Read the color before you move. In Color Dodge and Color Dash you have to meet the right color, so look at what is coming before you commit.
- Decide once, then go. A second correction right at an obstacle is an easy way to touch the wrong color.
- Think about the next obstacle before you pick up a color star, because in Neon Switch it changes your hue.
- Expect the pace to rise. Crazy Color Balls starts slow and picks up fast, and Color Circle gets faster as you play.
Games like Color Switch FAQ
Are there games like Color Switch online?

How do you play Color Switch?

Can I play a Color Switch-style game on my phone?
Yes, in the games that list touch controls. Neon Switch takes a click or a tap, Switch Dash takes a tap, Three Points takes a tap or a click, and Color Dash and Color Dodge list swipes and touch.
