Rush games

Rush games show what each customer wants and ask you to cook and serve it quickly.

  • Cooking Fest : Cooking Games moves you through a restaurant city, from a tropical restaurant to an ice cream shop to a seafood restaurant out at sea. You click the cooking tools to prepare food, click the dishes to serve them, and spend in the shop on tools that cook faster.
  • Doner Kebab : Salad Tomatoes Onions puts you on the other side of the counter in an arcade-like game: you make as many meals as you can, as fast as you can, and finishing a level earns stars and more ingredients.
  • Cooking Place shows each order as a picture next to the customer. You study it, prepare the dish and hand it over, and a satisfied customer pays. It plays with a mouse or a touch.
  • Cooking Challenge says a hungry customer is an impatient one. You put cutlets on the pan, throw potato straws into boiling oil and turn on the drink dispenser, across fifty levels, and you buy and upgrade equipment for faster service.
  • Stickman Restaurant Rush Game has a stickman chef take orders, cook and deliver meals before customers lose patience. You upgrade the kitchen and add recipes as you go, and you play with the mouse.

Management games

Management games care less about one order and more about the whole restaurant.

  • My Restaurant starts with a small dining space. You buy furniture, cooking stoves and decorations, prepare and serve food, and earn cash for upgrades and new menu items.
  • Dream Restaurant makes you the waiter: you invite customers in, collect their orders and serve them to the tables. It starts with burgers and sandwiches, grows through more tables and hired waiters, and later opens sushi and donut restaurants.
  • 2 Player Games Kids Kitchen is a restaurant tycoon game for working together: its title says 2 player, and its page describes a blend of collaboration and cooking in several game modes.

Idle tycoons

How upgrades and offline earnings work in this genre is explained in idle and clicker games.

  • Idle Restaurant Tycoon has you hire a master chef, develop your staff and manage your finances. The page says you can play without constantly clicking.
  • Zoo Restaurant serves animal customers while you build a dessert business, and it mixes merge mechanics with simulation. You tap and drag.
  • Monster Café: Idle Tycoon is a cafe at the edge of haunted woods. Slimes, ghosts, vampires and zombies line up for bat lattes and pumpkin muffins; you tap their orders, collect coins and tips, upgrade machines and hire monster waiters who serve even while you are away. The page lists five places to open.

Cafes and food trucks

  • Coffee Tycoon is a small coffee restaurant where you prepare coffee and croissants, upgrade machines and hire staff. You move around with WASD or the arrow keys, or by dragging the mouse.
  • Coffee Business Tycoon Game has you serve coffee stacks to a growing number of customers, and each pour earns money to upgrade equipment and hire baristas. You move with WASD or the arrow keys and click buttons with the mouse.
  • Penguin Cafe asks you to help overworked Berta run her struggling cafe, which floats on an iceberg. You click or tap to select dishes and tables.
  • yummy Cooking Food is a Chinese food truck: you serve eastern dishes and have to be fast to keep customers satisfied.

Kitchens and cafes in other genres

Three games borrow a kitchen, a diner or a cafe for something else.

  • Rope Chef is a physics puzzle about cooking. Ingredients hang on ropes above a pot, and you cut each rope at the right moment so the ingredient lands in the pot in the order the recipe card shows. It has 50 short levels across 14 cuisines.
  • Diner in the Storm is an escape game: you take shelter in a diner from a sudden storm and find something dangerous outside. You interact with the left mouse button, and A and D or the arrow keys move you. General habits for escape games are in escape room tips.
  • Cafe honey heist has you fly through a busy cafe, sip nectar from the cups on the tables and carry it to a hive outside. Buzzing too loud alerts the giant cafe owner, and landing on a table lets you rest and lower your noise. You fly with the keyboard and win after 5 hive deposits.

Tips for restaurant games

  1. Check how the order is shown. Cooking Place puts it as a picture next to the customer, and Rope Chef shows it on a recipe card.
  2. Spend where the page points. My Restaurant lists furniture, stoves and decorations, and Cooking Fest sells tools that cook faster.
  3. In idle games, look at what your staff do for you. Idle Restaurant Tycoon works without constant clicking, and the waiters in Monster Café serve while you are away.
  4. In the keyboard games, check the keys before you start. Coffee Tycoon and Coffee Business Tycoon Game move with WASD or the arrow keys.
