Lake and ice fishing simulators
These games copy the rhythm of real fishing: pick a spot and bait, cast, wait, and pull the fish in without snapping the line.
- Willow Pond is a lake simulator with 12 fish species, 24 lures, 7 types of rods and 8 places. You point at a spot and click to throw the bait, and the money from each catch buys new places, lures and rods.
- Ice Fishing is in 3D. You choose the place and the bait, and a warning in the upper left corner shows the tension of the line. Its description says patience pays, so do not rush to pull the float.
- Night Lake is a night fishing game: row a boat by lantern light, cast, strike when the float goes under and fight the fish while watching the line tension. It is covered in boat games online.
- Fish Master puts you in a boat with a rod. You cast, fish and upgrade your equipment, and the description promises meditative gameplay.
- Fish Frenzy is played in a small boat with the arrow keys and Space. Fish Gone is played with the mouse or touch, and one fish is there to hinder your fishing.
- Baby Happy Fishing has 4 places, and the ways to fish include drilling holes in the ice, netting fish in ponds and diving to the bottom of the sea.
Habits for lake simulators
- Watch the line. Ice Fishing shows a tension warning, and Night Lake asks you to watch the line tension during the fight.
- Be patient with the float. Ice Fishing says not to rush pulling it.
- Spend on gear and places. Willow Pond, Ice Fishing and Night Lake all turn your catch into money for better bait, rods and, in Willow Pond, new places.
Idle and upgrade fishing
The fishing is quick here and the shop is the point: each catch pays for gear that catches more.
- Tiny Fishing has you click the spinner to set your casting distance, then click and drag to slide the hook left and right. The cash from the fish buys upgrades and new hooks, and you keep earning after you leave the game.
- Fishing.io sends you to the ocean floor to collect fish and treasures. Net upgrades reach deeper depths, and you fill a trophy room with characters you find trapped in the sea.
- Fishing Life is a clicker: choose a target fish, click the water to reel it in and manage its energy. It advises upgrading Strength first.
- Tap to Fish starts you with simple gear. You catch and sell fish for gold, then upgrade the rod to hold more and reach deeper waters.
- Fish Land Fish World is an idle game where you fish, expand your pond and grow your aquatic world.

Hooks, nets and cats
- Deep Sea Catch Fun has a cat dive: drop the anchor, aim and hook a fish. When it leaps out of the water, tap it again to secure the catch.
- BlueCatch lets a cat fish up fish and precious things. Each catch flies high in the air and you tap it to score, and you guide the anchor by dragging.
- Ocean Catcher Fun casts a net with a tap or a click. Catch fish for points and combos, avoid sharks and jellyfish, and switch between small, medium and large nets, where the large ones cost more.
- Fishing Challenge gives you 30 seconds to catch all the fish. Tap and hold to fish.
- Funny Sea Fishing sends a penguin out for small sea animals. The description warns you not to fish for sharks, which are strong and break your rod.
Fish shooters
These games add weapons to fishing: cannons, harpoons, bombs and guns.
- CatchFish — Fishing Master has 100 levels of cannon fire at schools of fish, with boss fights and 10+ cannons to upgrade from a single barrel to multi-shot. Tap or click to fire, hold to fire rapidly and drag to keep aiming.
- Big Catch Fishing has you play a cat on a fishing trip. Drop the hook, steer it left and right to collect fish, then tap the fish as the hook rises to shoot them for coins. Upgrades include a deeper line, a faster line and better weapons.
- Shoot Some Fish has a worm dangle from a fishing hook, armed with a harpoon, and fight through 10 levels with 5 lives against 7 kinds of fish.
- MiniCat Fisher has a cat hunt fish with harpoons.
- Novice Fisherman has you move a slow boat with the left and right arrow keys, throw the rod with the down arrow and drop bombs on sharks.
- Pacific Ocean Adventure is a 2D game of fishing the depths of the Pacific, fighting sharks and hunting fish for gold. WASD or the arrow keys move, Space attacks, and a phone shows touch controls.

- Fishing Hunting Game has you move the mouse to aim and press the left button to throw the spear. The fish get faster as you progress.
