Logic Games Online: Deduction, Path and Rule Puzzles
Updated
Logic games online are puzzles with fixed rules where you work out each move instead of reacting: flip a pattern of tiles, find one route across a board, or place pieces so that no rule breaks. The games below play free in the browser, with no install and no registration, and they are sorted by the kind of reasoning they ask for, with each game's own rules in plain words.
Toggle and sequence puzzles
Here one move changes something else, so the order of your moves matters. In Logic Pro – Neon Edition you turn all the lights off by tapping tiles that also toggle their neighbors, using as few moves as you can. Box Press Puzzle has you activate pistons in the right sequence to push cyan cubes into a central drop zone, without blocking pathways. Moving Magnet asks you to push magnetic blocks to their designated positions, using the attraction and repulsion of the magnets. In Hit Lazer To Goals you rotate mirrors to reflect laser beams onto the right targets.
A habit for toggle puzzles: in a plain toggle puzzle like Logic Pro – Neon Edition, tapping the same tile twice cancels itself out, so no tile needs more than one tap and the order of taps does not change the result. Look for the set of tiles to tap, not for a sequence.
Path puzzles: one route that works
Path puzzles ask for a single line or route. One Touch Drawing has you click each point to connect line segments, and a segment that has been lit cannot be connected again. Later levels add special rules, such as a line that has to be passed twice and a line that can be passed from one direction only. LongDog stretches a dog to fill every empty tile of the board: you cannot cross your own body, and there are 1,000 generated levels with a hint button.
In Ball Puzzle you slide tiles to build a path for the ball. Iron tiles cannot be moved, you can undo a move or use a hint, and the 240 levels run from Beginner to Expert. Find The Key is a maze where you collect stars, take the key and open the exit without getting trapped. In Rabbit Carrot you tap to switch ice walls on or off and make a clear path for the rabbit past spikes and moving enemies.
A habit for path puzzles: start from the dead ends. In a puzzle where the route has to cover every tile, as in LongDog, a tile with only one free neighbor can only be where the route starts or ends, and that often fixes much of the rest.
Deduction and placement rules
Here rules and clues narrow down the options. Meow Sudoku asks you to rely on colors and deduction: cats cannot touch each other, and there can be only one cat per row, per column and per color. Power-ups can place a cat for you or show which color blocks you can discard. Nonogram - Picture Cross gives number clues along its rows and columns. You color the squares the clues call for and leave the others empty until a pixel picture appears.
Three more fit by rule rather than reflex. Charge My Phone has you drag plugs onto matching sockets with touch or mouse. Camp Arrange asks you to arrange colorful blocks in their designated positions, with a different layout on each level. Off the Hook: Ring Puzzle has you rotate interlocked rings until they drop off the hook, and its description says there are no time limits.

For the classic number grid, sudoku rules and tips goes through scanning, pencil marks and naked pairs, and number games online covers merging and sums.
Tips for logic puzzles
- Look for forced moves first: a tile, a cat or a piece that has only one place to go.
- Work backwards from the goal. In Ball Puzzle, ask which tile has to be in place last.
- Use undo and hints when a game offers them. Ball Puzzle has both, LongDog has a hint button and Meow Sudoku has power-ups.
- Slow down on levels with a move count. Logic Pro – Neon Edition asks for the fewest moves, so a hurried tap costs you.
- Other kinds of puzzles, from sorting to physics, are in brain games online and puzzle games online.
